Rainy weather developing Monday

Good Monday! Rain chances increase today, then we have a warm-up through the week.

Showers gradually develop today across the Tennessee Valley as the atmosphere slowly saturates. Highs reach 70° in the city. Rain continues tonight, fading a bit late with lows in the upper 50s.

The rest of the week brings warmer temperatures, higher humidity, and increasing instability. This mean there's a chance for showers and storms each day. They're expected to be isolated to scattered Tuesday through Thursday--in other words "hit or miss"--becoming widespread Friday due to a cold front. Look for highs in the upper 70s to middle 80s with lows in the upper 50s to middle 60s.

Spotty showers might pop up during the weekend, but at this point they look few and far between. Highs Saturday and Sunday reach the middle 70s with cooler lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
