CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- A "third party" implemented temporary changes to the Majestic 12's HVAC system in an effort to address problems experienced as a result of the Lookouts' fireworks display.

However, because environmental conditions were not similar to those from past events, the changes implemented by a "third party" rendered inconclusive results.

Chattanooga's Fire Marshal, who was present at the theater during the fireworks display, noted that additional testing should be conducted.

Cinema officials are still comparing other factors which may have contributed to the alarms being triggered during previous events.

Thad Morton of Camike Cinemas said, "We remain hopeful that the third party's proposed changes will lead to a successful interim solution until a permanent resolution can be achieved.  The most important thing for all of us is that Chattanoogans were able to safely enjoy an evening of entertainment at the movies or watch fireworks after the ballgame."
