RINGGOLD, CATOOSA COUNTY (WRCB)-- The "Golden Arches" will return to Ringgold!

Channel 3 has learned the McDonald's on Alabama Highway will celebrate its grand reopening, Monday.

The original restaurant was one of many businesses destroyed by the April 27th storms.

"After the tornado I stood in the parking lot taking in the devastation around me," Operations Manager Darlene McCannon says. "A little girl and her mother were there too. The girl asked her mother if the McDonald's was going to come back. I walked over and told the little girl, ‘Yes, we will rebuild and we will be better than ever.'"

A spokesperson tells Channel 3 the new building will sport a modern design seen at various locations across the nation.

And, while the walls might be new, most of the friendly faces will remain the same. We're told 40 members of the original staff of 63 will return to work on October 31st.

"As we reopen the doors of our new McDonald's, it's only possible because of the dedication of our employees and the support of our friends and neighbors," says McCannon.
