CHATTOOGA COUNTY, GA. (WRCB)-- A Chattooga County jailer, accused of driving drunk and flipping the bird at an officer, is off the job.
Robert Boyd, 44, is accused of making the gesture at an officer on routine patrol, before driving his truck off the road.
The officer pulled Boyd over, and reported smelling alcohol on his breath.
Sheriff John Everett says Boyd's blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
The 12-year veteran with the Chattooga County Jail, was dismissed from his job.
He was released from jail that same night.
The Sheriff says he admitted to drinking and the gesture, and said he had made a mistake.
