MEIGS COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck that has killed a 15 year old boy.

The wreck occurred Monday around 4:30pm on Crabtree Lane.

The 15 year old was riding a dirt bike when he lost control. The dirt bike left the roadway, went into a ditch and then went back into the roadway. At some point his helmet fell off.

The boy was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
